St. Innocent College is a private vocational school under the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate). The College is located in Thalang district of Phuket Island and it is housed in a large two-story complex with dormitory accommodations, a kitchen and dining facilities, classrooms, a lecture hall, administrative and faculty offices.
The mission of St. Innocent College is to prepare candidates for the Diaconate and Priesthood for the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) to minister in the Kingdom of Thailand and other S-E Asia countries, and providing them with the necessary theological, spiritual, liturgical, moral, pastoral, and intellectual formation to perform the Sacraments, teach the Orthodox Faith, and, in accordance with the teachings of Holy Scripture, care for those in need, both within and outside the orthodox communities.
The objective of St. Innocent College is to offer rigorous training to students in those academic and practical disciplines that are requisite for active service to the Orthodox Church, mainly as clergy, but also as cantors, teachers, and iconographers. Students will also be educated in Scripture, languages, philosophy, history, and pastoral psychology.
In a quiet, rural environment conducive to spiritual growth and serious study, the College will nurture the vocations of its students, affording them the unique opportunity of learning and studying Orthodox theology in the framework of their daily experience of the Eastern Orthodox spiritual, liturgical, and mystical tradition.
St. Innocent College is called to offer excellence in human, intellectual, spiritual and pastoral formation for young men from around S-E Asia in service to the Orthodox Christian Church.
